Anne O'Donnell Dip Phty, Dip MT, MPNZ
Anne has over forty years experience as a physiotherapist in private practice. She has owned her own practices throughout her years of practice, mainly in Havelock North. She has recently moved to live and work in the Wellington area.
Her experience is broad-based, covering many special interests over the years and furthering education has always been her priority. She has been a teacher on the postgraduate Manipulative Therapy courses held around NZ. She is skilled in carrying out manipulative physiotherapy for the spine, combined with exercise therapy and self-management advice for the patient – both to manage the presenting condition and to prevent further recurrences of pain and injury.
Over recent years she has enjoyed working in the field of persistent pain treatment and management. She feels physiotherapists with their musculoskeletal skills and clinical, social and exercise knowledge are uniquely positioned to treat patients with persistent pain conditions. This field is particularly exciting to work in as the science and research around pain continue to develop.
